Our volunteers are vital to the day-to-day success of Willamette Humane Society and the well-being of our animals.
Volunteers help out with every aspect of our organization, whether it’s walking and training the dogs, assisting with office work, helping at our thrift stores, socializing cats and rabbits or serving on our board of directors. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to fulfill our mission of “promoting the welfare of animals through leadership, education, and action.”
Would you like to work with a caring group of people who make a daily difference in the lives of thousands of animals? Then join us. By doing so, you help Willamette Humane Society find homes for the animals in our care, educate the public about our programs and services and help us raise funds so that we can continue to serve our community of people and pets.
When you volunteer at Willamette Humane Society…
• You are one of the most important people to the many animals that come through our doors every day. • You help create an environment of respect, responsibility, and compassion towards animals.
• You improve the lives of the animals in our community.
• You play a part in keeping the animals social and healthy, and keeping the shelter operating in an inviting manner.
• You help provide community awareness of our programs and services.
While you are volunteering, you are representing Willamette Humane Society. We want to do all that we can to ensure that you have a fulfilling volunteer experience. We promise to work hard so that your experience with us is an excellent one.
